yeah you just have to grind them down/ cut em off. not really a big deal. btw mine tore off after I did 120 and got all mangled, so I just removed it.

just found this, looks like it's the only PU lip for 135 around the $200 mark inc shipping, then it steps up to $500, then $600-1k for CF, which will just get annihilated anyway...

I have that front lip spoiler that flares up and honestly, in person it does not look bad at all. I wasn't sure about it when I purchased it but when I installed it, I became a fan. It definitely sets off the car and gives it a more aggressive look from the front.

At least one person has ground it down with an orbital sander and then polished it up... It's on here somewhere... Was 12 or 18 months ago...

I put mine on yesterday, and couldn't get it to fit exactly. There is still a small gap that you can see in the pic. I have an idea on how to fix it...I'll post pics if it works.

When I had one on my car I put a heat gun right under the center for 10-15 mins off and on got it nice and hot and stretched it out it went right in. You really have to fight it to get it to fit right .

Just installed mine. Wasn't too hard. I put the lip next to a space heater for a bit and it fit on fine.

Purchased this H-Style 135i E82 lip from Xcess Motors on eBay about a week ago for $144, and it arrived on my doorstep in about 2-3 days.
When I opened and inspected it. I saw that one side of the bottom mold was improperly molded, and left a fairly deep gap. Also, due to a bad mold job, there were also creases in the front of the lip. Not to mention white scratches/markings on one of the ends. Also, imperfections/DOA aside, when I tried test fitting it with a buddy and I. I had to use an uncomfortable amount of force to try to get it to fit properly. The plastic is fairly stiff. Did anyone else face this issue as well? How did fitment go with the rest of you who have this lip? But on the positive side, Xcess responded to my email regarding this issue in one business day and offered to accept a return/exchange, or if I decided to keep the lip a $25 refund. I asked if because the lip came DOA essentially, if they could cover return shipping costs. They have yet to respond to me, as it is the weekend. Im debating just returning it and getting a full refund for some splitters. After reading about the 120+ lip ripping off incident. I'm not too comfortable with that happening. Attached are some photos for you guys, as you can see one side is properly molded and should look like this: But the bad: |

^ That's who I got mine from. Initially I was having trouble with fitment and I called them right up. Their customer service was great and they were willing to help right away. They were willing to exchange it for free. And they also told me to heat treat the lip before trying to install it to make it more flexible. Like letting sit out in the sun for a while or using a heat gun. The heat gun worked and it made the install pretty easy. Mine had no damages to it but you should at least try and exchange it and try it again

At this point, I am just gonna return it and go for splitters. I don't want to scrape, and if I do its just flimsy plastic, and I'd much rather have that than ripping my bumper off. |
