Maybe for original owners, but I'm here because I was cross shopping the 1er and 2er, and I liked the 1er more, so I bought one. Plus, when I'm at track days, there are lots of M2s, e46 M3s, etc., but very few 135is, so I get a lot of fun inquiries about it.

Yeah, and I should probably mention that I'm not generally a "BMW guy," so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. I've always been a "Porsche guy," and the rounder shape and squatty proportions of the 1er drew me to it more than most BMWs. I'd really never considered a BMW sports car prior to buying the 1er (outside of some vintage models.) The backseat and trunk of the 135i just make it so much more usable as a daily vs. my prior 911 and Cayman.
