OME tires ??

What do you think of the Bridgestone Potenza runflats that come stock with the M-sport pack ?? Are they considered like really good runflats ?? Do runflats perform as much as non-runflats ?

Thanks !

They're very good tires and very good run-flats but the issue many people have is with the structure of a run flat and the side effects. They have a very thick and stiff sidewall which causes a harsher ride than a standard tire.

I don't find the ride harsh personally, it could for some who are used to a more luxury/soft ride, but if you're used to sports cars, the ride is fine.

As for grip levels, I autocross with the run flats and do pretty well. I'm satisfied with the level of grip. There are street tires out there that will have more grip, but the stiff sidewall of the runflats are said to give a sharper steering response. People who switched to non-run flats feel the difference in steering response, even though grip may be better. Personally, I don't see a real reason to spend money on changing them out.

you will when you get a flat and find out you need to buy a new tire at $350 rather than repairing for $20. I am still on my rft and they do have decent grip for what they are but by no means an appropriate tire for tracking.

I would switch to Michelin PS2 RFT they last longer compare with Potenza RE050.
