Using aftermarket halogen headlights on OEM AHL Xenon Car
Brand new 135i owner here. The car has the OEM xenon AHL. The previous owner did angel eye and must not of sealed it right cause the AHL warning is on and the angel eye is not working. I'd love to do a DIY fix but I'm super short on time (Army flight school!). Shopping around shows that the replacement xenon are crazy expensive but the xenon replacement for halogens are reasonable. If I used one of the aftermarket xenon for halogens on my car would it work? I know there'll be a coding problem but I'm planning on coding out the AHL anyways. Any experiences like this would great or any advice on how to get this fixed without breaking the bank would be awesome. If theres already a thread on this I couldnt find it. Thanks

Good time to send your headlights to a retrofitter for customization.
As far as what to do... Fix it properly or wait until you can
