For those whose phone doesnt hang up

For those who have complained that their phone doesnt hang up after a call ( counter still keeps on showing elapesed call time ect ect )

BMW know about a problem with the following phones causing this

Motorola RAZR V3
Motorola V330
Motorola V551

There is no longterm fix yet, they will be releasing it soon ( should be a software upgrade to the cars phone system )

For the mean time they ssay just turn your actual phone off and then back on when this problem occurs

For USA customers : They say if its happening to any other phone, please inform your dealer to put in a PUMA case stating the make of phone and the software version on the phone.
Tell your dealer to refer to " SIB 84 13 05 "

Thanks. This has bothered me since the day I bought the car.

Another workaround (instead of shutting off the phone) is to make sure you hang up before the people you're talking to do...

interesting. i don't seem to have any hangups with my e90 & v3.
they work fine together.

It could depend on the software version on your phone

I have the Motorola RAZR V3 and that happens to me too
Timer is still going even when I try to end the call and I check my phone and the call has already ended so I just leave it and eventually it goes away but its annoying.
The good thing is that it only happens once in awhile.

I wonder about the Motorola V710? I pick my E90 up tomorrow, and I'll let you all know. I bought the V710 months ago with the intention of using the bluetooth function in the BMW.

motorola v80 as well, but i dont expect them to fix this one any time soon as it's an over seas phone. but has anyone ever turned off their car, and taken out their key, but still have the radio and idrive display turned on? this has happened to me three times, seems like the connection gets stuck and the electronics wont turn off until it drops the connection. very annoying, took me about 30 minutes to turn it off once

This is one of the problems the latest software CIP 18.0 fixes on the E90.

But you may want to hold off a upgrade and wait for the September CIP 19.0 that should add some extra features.

If you dont want to wait, just go tell you dealer the radio doesnt turn off and they must load CIP 18.0 or newer as per BMW's Bulletin

mine cuts out and goes back to the music directly after I press the phone button to hang up or the end call button

doesn't matter who hangs up first

Which Motorola Razr V3 is having problems? I am thinking about getting the new Cingular Black moto razr sometime next week. Will that have the same problem even though it will most likely have the latest software updates?

This is funny the Treo 650 was not supported by BMW and works great. Makes you wonder sometimes.

The BB 7510 has the same problem on occassion.

If it won't hang up, I make a call using the actual phone speed dial and it will connect that call and then I hang up after that call.

my v80 seems to work fine when hanging up calls. my cars radio does not turn off untill i get off the fone as well. it definitely is annoying
