18 x 8.5 ET38 all around.. what should I do to fit it?

will minor fender roll do the trick?
and would 18" RFT stock tires fit on them fine? 215/245

245 on the rear will need a fender roll. Maybe even an aggressive one if they are going to fit with that offset.

it all depends on the make/model of the tires. 235/40/18 Nitto NT-05's are significantly wider then the stock 245/35/18's.

225/40/18 tires even extreme summer tires would be fine up front. 235/40/18's will probably have some rubbing when hitting bumps. This could be changed with a rear roll or added negative camber in the rear.

stock 215's will be extremely stretched on an 18x8.5" wheel. I would not be surprised if you would end up damaging a wheel from a pothole from how stiff that would be.

I'm running the 18X8.5 et 38's on all four corners with 245 Yokohama Sdrives.

Needed camber plates up front and a fender roll on the back to eliminate rubbing.

18x8.5 +38 isn't too hard to fit, but it sure isn't a bolt on fitment. The oem 215 tires will be a decent stretch on the wheels, but will fit fine. The problem is running the narrower tires on the front with wider tires on the back on square wheels. The fitment will look a bit funny having as stretch in the front and a wide square tire on the back. You will most likely need to roll front and rear and a little extra camber up front will be needed depending on which tires you end up going with. If you stick with the 215 tires you could probably get away with either no roll or stock camber.

what do you guys think of running a 18X9.5 +38 rear? i'm seriously debating doing this, and possibly using a 235/35 or 235/40 for the rear. i don't mind the rolling, but i'd like to know how bad it will be.

Can you guys explain what the original question means?

He's asking about putting the stock 18x8.5 rears at all 4 corners with a spacer? Is that what the ET38 means?

Thanks

basically he was asking if 18" X 8.5" +38mm offset would fit on all 4 corners. ET38 represents +38mm offset of the wheel. and then i asked the question of if anyone had ever seen a 18" X 9.5" +38mm offset on the rear, which i'm starting to believe may not work. =(

Thanks for the info. I'm interested in 18x8.5's oem's at all 4 corners wrapped in R comps so I can rotate.

That should work but are there any major benefits to spacing an extra 38mm at each corner? Or is it cosmetic? It would be a wider base so that should improve handing right?

Let me know.
