Tire and rim insurance. servicing package?

Is the $25/month tire and rim insurance worth it??? heard these funflats are expensive.

Also what about the servicing package where you pay up front but then all parts and labour are included for the duration??? ie pads/rotors/filters/etc

thanks

I took the tire and rim insurance, because I seem to have tough luck with tires and rims. But the extended service plans seemed more like a pre-pay arrangement.

When I bought the car, I got the Zurich Runflat insurance for $600. It covers any flats / rim damage up to $3000 for 3 years. I've already gotten back more than I paid.

I've had three BMWs with low profile tires and have gotten the tire and wheel insurance in each case. It has paid for itself twice over due to all the pothole damage here in NJ. $25/month however sounds pretty expensive however. On a three year lease, if you think your going to damage at least 2 rims/tires paying for it up front is much cheaper.

Last week I hit a beaut. Wiped out the tire but wheel was OK. Also needed a 4 wheel alignment. $577.

Can you possibly share some additional info on this insurance option? A quick Google search revealed a company in the UK.

I got a 5 year tire/wheel policy through United Autocare for about $500. It only covers replacement of damaged tires & wheels.
