135i N55 Spark Plug Confusion
Heya guys, first post , hope I'm posting on the correct section
I currently just upgraded my 135i to FBO and am wondering if I have got the correct spark plug I have read around in the forum's and found that the NGK 97506 gapped at 0.022 is the best option. But here's my problem, I bought spark plugs with the part number NGK 97506 SILZKBR8C8S, after doing some research it shows that it has been discontinued. The spark plug being recommend through the forum's is the NGK 97506 SILZKBR8D8S. But I cannot find this spark plug locally. My question is would the spark plug I have bought be ok for my setup. Cheers, thanks on advance fellas. |

I am surprised the NGK part number is the same for both. Do you have a picture of the box or plug you could share.
the NGK 97506 SILZKBR8D8S gapped at .025 has been working great for me, but i am running it because i am running a PS2. Why do you feel the need to switch from stock spark plugs? You should be fine with stock plug, stock gap on a stock turbo FBO car. I would run stock plug/gap first and log my car to see how the motor is running. Then go from there.
