N54: Worthwhile upgrade(?) N55 mids to Resonated Berks
I recently sold my non resonated CP-E mids and picked up a set of N55 mids. Although initially, I had planned to stick with aftermarket and just go with a resonated set. Is it worthwhile to go with aftermarket (Berk resonated) mid pipes coming from an N55 setup? I understand power increase will be minimal but overall sound and quality.
Currently running catless DPs, and will have a Berk sport muffler. I am not too concerned with it being too loud as its not my daily and my previous setup(Catless, non res CPe mids and Maddad whisper) was more than tolerable, for me. Possible N55 midpipe forsale in NY |

It def won’t be “too loud” with that setup. The Berk Mids are pretty tame, they change the tone but volume stays similar. They do a nice job cutting out drone, and there’s virtually no rasp in my setup until you get north of 5K.
Honestly if I had N55 mids, I’d just keep ‘em. Don’t see the Berk’s as a huge upgrade, they probably flow a bit better but there aren’t big gains to be had that fair downstream anyways.
