Not exactly. People with upgraded turbos are almost hitting 500 whp.

Do you lose any low end torque/throttle response from upgraded turbos?

Depends on the size of the turbo I believe. The bigger the snail, the more lag...the smaller the Turbo, the less top end.

I was talking about stock turbos. I am sure with upgraded turbos and intercoolers, 400whp is not hard to achieve.

Here's a dyno:

http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11642

Only 450 on pump gas, though.

I was, also. Stock turbos can do 400.

Wow. That's amazing. Are you still on the stock turbos? Nevermind. I saw the date on the linked thread. Where do you go for dyno-tuning?

I, unfortunately, am not referring to myself. I don't even have a 1-series, currently. I am just talking about full bolt-ons, meth and race gas in general will get you close to 400.

What was the baseline dyno before the DP's?

Everytime I see the power of the N54 twin turbos after a tune I feel like I got ripped off buying an N55 powered car. N55 = only half the fun! DAMMIT!

So far it seems that the N55 is faster "out of the box", but the N54 has much more potential. We have to give the tuners so time to figure out the N55.

Yeah. That's cool with me anyway. That gives me time to work on the suspension and exterior/interior cosmetics. But realistically, the twin Turbo will always yield more power than the single turbo.

These numbers are probably off since it was done on my daily driving MAP 5 but:

272 HP
287 TQ

MUSTANG DYNO(always lower than other dynos)

80 degrees

Only 91 octane in AZ.

THIS WAS BEFORE DP'S! I WILL RE DYNO AFTER COMPUTER ADJUSTS TO THE DP'S AND ALSO DO RUNS ON MAP 1 AS DIRECTED BY BURGER.

This is the one thing I dislike about piggyback systems. A flashed ECU would not have this issue arise. Damn you CANBUS!
