Smoked Third Brake Light Overlays

I wanted a less permanent solution to smoking out the third brake light on my 1 series, so I designed this vinyl overlay.

It requires no trimming and installs in seconds. Weather and UV resistant for 8 years.

I have decals left over from my initial design run for $22 shipped.

The car in the pic above has blacklines installed. The color will never be exactly the same since the smoked portion of the blacklines are a smoked clear while the third brake light is a smoked red. IMO I think it looks better as a smoked red than a bright red.

Got any pictures of it lit up? I just debaged, getting blacklines and thinking about doing this too. Maybe SIN and swap out the roundels

I got around to installing mine.

From 10+ feet away the third brake light now blends right into the Jet Black deck lid. When illuminated, the overlay cannot be seen at all. The bright red of the stock third brake light really stuck out against the minor tint of the Blacklines, but now everything matches up much better.

Got mine today, didn't install it quite center so I need to trim the left side about 1mm back. Quality is great, very very easy to install, matches LCI Blacklines very well!

10/10 - BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE BLACKLINES!

Just wanted to let people know this works great and I've actually had the same vinyl over the third brake light for the last 6-7 years . No issues at all! Also helps reduce the chance of the third brake light cracking/showing cracks .

You're right, I had some cracks on my brake light but you can't see them at all with the tinted strip installed
