I just ordered my 128 in these colors. I was not hesitant about the colors till I came to this forum (and when the sales manager at my dealership practically laughed at me). So, being worried that I might have just screwed up a $34k car I started looking for pictures and found this blog:

I say get what you want, but if you plan on reselling it at some time you better come to this site and find someone to buy it because I am guessing that a vast majority would not spend money for that combo.

By the way, theres nothing gay about Coral Red.. only that its an attention grabber and might get old if you really aren't into a sporty aggressive look for your daily driver (if thats what it is)

AW with coral red works. Not my personal favorite, but BMW seems to bring it to half the car shows...

No argument there, but if he wants coral red and won't go with black, SGM, cashmere, silver or dark blue, few options left. My personal favorite to go with a coral red interior is SGM.

Nah, I'm originally from TN so i'll have my red/blue titans logo if anything, but I plan on keeping the car clean of any extra stuff except for maybe a small, discreet superman logo on one window. Thanks for the warnings on the color, but i'm feeling pretty comfortable with my choice now.

I love blue, but a darker blue would compliment the red seats. P.S. Tell your wife you refuse to adhere to old American norms and stereotypes and that you refuse to be intimidated by her social pressure! lol |

To each his own! I personally don't like it, but who the hell cares what I think! I love Montego but with black. That is how I am doing it! Red interior looks best with White, Black, Silver, and Charcoal exteriors. Then again I couldn't live with a red interior everyday. Have fun!

http://www.munificent.com.au/pdf/E87colourandtrim.pdf It would seem BM do not recommend Montego with Coral Interior. I would trust this, given their designers would be experts in colours and combinations. Besides, the Coral Red is almost orange. Nowhere near as good as the Fox Red in the M3

From personal experience I can tell you that when someone says that is a "gay" color or that is so "gay" they don't necessarily mean it is homosexual. My son who is 17 says many things are gay. It simply means that it is a bad choice and he would never consider doing it. And in this context I think Montego and Coral is a "gay" choice.

Please take this person's advice, Montego/Red will look cartoonish.

All people would not recommend a lime green porsche or a pink ferrari but there are some on the road:-)
Glad to hear you made the "right" decision on the colour scheme :-) |
