Yup, I'm hoping for around ~4-5 weeks from order to delivery. Having talked extensively to the CA and dealership - it seems like ~5 weeks is realistic for the east coast if there aren't any major holidays during that time (ie: like the factory close down in late august).

Considering I already sold my previous car (VW GTI), the sooner I can get the 135i the better

Yea, Seriously... Ive got my M3 sold to a buyer who's patiently waiting til my 135i gets here to take delivery. I sold the car on 8/11, so I figured 11/5 should be no problem to deliver it to him.. Now, I feel like its going to be very close... I know factory was closed til end of August, but dealer continued to tell me 6-8 wks max... With those assurances, if its late, ie, after 11/05, Im going to really push hard for a loaner car til delivery.. Plans are made on their supposedly accurate estimates for delivery, and money is involved.

Is yours out of production yet? (ie: do you have a VIN)?

Jeez.. how did I get in the production queue in front of you? Mine went into production Sept 14th. It was a brand new order (not a modified existing allocation). I was told they had a big alpine white batch done along with mine all of last week and all of this week. Hopefully you're at least in that batch.

Once it's produced (ie: where I'm at right now), it should be 3 weeks to make it to the east coast (maybe even less since there doesn't seem to be a port back-up at the moment).

Well, there goes my plan of getting my car in early October. It's been sitting at port waiting for a ship for over a week now :\

From what I read, about 1-2 weeks waiting for ship. 1-2 week ocean crossing, 1-2 weeks prep, then PDI and done

Im in the same boat, so to speak... Maybe literally as well as figuratively! I just got word today, that my car is done being produced and is awaiting transport. I placed this order on 8/11. Factory closed til Sept 1, so figure its been about a month so far just go get it produced, and it will likely be another 4-5 wks before I get delivery. Seems like an inordinately long time. But thats mainly because it didnt get into the system until 8/23!

My car was built first week of September. The ship arrived at home port (prep center) yesterday, but is sitting there because there was a longshoreman strike and they are all backed up. I heard they were ordered back to work today by a judge, so I'm still hoping to see my car by the end of next week.

Exactly! They had all year to strike, but NOOOOOO, they have to do it when "my ship" comes in. They're probably pissed off that they got called back to work, so they're putting sugar in all the gas tanks

Finally showing "en route" for me. Is there any way to figure out what ship it's on?

Mine continues to wait for a ship headed for the East Coast, it got to the port on Monday. CA has said it should make it aboard later this week and still on track late October, early November.

Excuse the question, but what is your 'CA'? Is that the person you speak to at the 800 number, or god forbid, at your dealership?

Im just a teeny little bit ENVIOUS! To refresh, I placed my order with the dealer on 8/11. It entered the system 8/23.. It completed production around 9/28 (factory closing killed me), and now its waiting for its ship to come in and carry it here, so it can wait another wk or two at the prep center, and then more time while it travels to dealer. All the while, my M3 buyer is getting increasingly anxious.. (well, hes not really, but I would be if I were him!).

Mine's Alpine white too, so hopefully, I was made in a batch not far from yours, and maybe it will ship next week. Lets hope we get the ones without the rattles and with the 402 pump!!!

It took mine almost 2 weeks to get on a ship (after production was done).

Mine finished production 9/21 and just got on a ship this morning (or at least that's when the site & 1800 # updated to "en route"). Hopefully yours gets on a ship quicker though!

mine has said in transit on the 800 number for about a week, but I was told by my CA that it is still waiting for a ship. It has been about a week and a half since production completion.

Ouch :\ My CA confirmed it was placed on a ship. She just doesn't know which one.
