Oh Him!! lol. I get better info from the 1-800 number than I get from him.. He never even contacted me to notify that the car was out of production!

I think I found my ship! If it helps others, this is what I had to do.
1. I went to the shipping company site: https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/l...UserValidation 2. My VIN wasn't in the "Cargo ID", so I deleted the last few chars of the vin and put in a %. This searched for all similar VIN's. 3. Once I got a list of VIN's I looked for a boat that left the port the last few days and was heading to NYC. There was only one that matched that criteria. Hope that helps others who are in a similar situation! |

What date was your car out of production and officially 'awaiting transport'? I placed my order on 8/11, and it appeared in the system as 'scheduled for production' on 8/23. It finished production on 9/28! Between then and 10/5 it was waiting for a truck to carry it to the port, where it arrived on 10/8, and from then til now, its been sitting at the port waiting for a full ship, I presume. This is going to wind up taking over 9 wks from 9/01 (when the factory reopened) til the time I take delivery, which kind of sucks when you have sold your current ride and buyer's waiting to take delivery, based on dates the CA gave.. Based on the fact that theyre going to miss the 6wk delivery assurance I was given when I purchased it by at least 3 wks, they promise to give me a loaner to in the interim since I have to deliver my current m3 to buyer by 11/05.

Yup.. I ran into the sls mgr there yesterday when i didnt see my salesman in the showroom.. Turns out, he was fired recently, so I said, 'well that explains why nobody has been calling me with status updates'... I then went into a rant how he had promised me delivery within 6 wks at the latest from sept 1, and how I promised the buyer of my m3 delivery by 11/05, and that if that date isnt met, my private sale deal falls through, and therefore, would be unable to complete the 135i deal. I then said it could be saved, though, if he was willing to give me a loaner from 11/04 until the 135i is delivered, and with no resistance at all, he approved.

I'm with you guys; I placed my order on 11 Sep, and mine's been sitting at the port, awaiting a ship since 1 Oct, where it remains today.
If BMW really wants to encourage people to custom order, they need to address the shipping delay.

this is really getting ridiculous! What ever happened to the 'oh, 6 wks at the longest!' From what im reading here, doubling that is more like reality these days.

Really? Is that because they have to unload the ship OR is that dealer prep? Seems a like a long time!

Yowzers - that is not encouraging. Looks like I'm still at least 4-weeks out. :-(

Not to disappoint you anymore, but even my ship transportation (once it made it on a ship) took 15 days to NYC. Left port last day of September - arriving in NYC tomorrow. Taking foreevverrrr.

Pretty psyched! Aegean Highway finally popped up on Marinetraffic.com, it's just off the coast of Virginia Beach- it was missing all week in the open ocean
At this point I'd guess I'm about 2 weeks from delivery...

For those that have been following - I'm taking delivery tomorrow I placed the order on September 3rd, so not bad overall I guess. The process was very quick once the boat landed (last week) because I didn't have any options that required installation or prep. in the prep center.

Congrats!! You process worked out way faster than mine.. Im surprised there is so much variability in it.. I think alot has to do with luck of the draw.... ie, if once your car is produced theres a nearly full truck headed to the port already, yours will have almost no waiting.. Same thing with the ship.. if almost full, almost no waiting... Mine on the other hand did nothing but wait!
