Orca and I took a road trip down to NYC this weekend. Left Saturday morning, and saw about a half dozen cars pulled over on the opposite side of the Mass Pike. Fortunately for us, we played tag with a Ford Explorer and a Toyota sedan and saw no cops on our side.

Saw Orca's twin on the streets of Astoria when I headed back on Sunday afternoon, but the twin was missing its antenna. I now love the little gas station/rest stops on Merritt Parkway in CT - merging back into traffic is now an afterthought (and a chance to floor it!).

Stopped at a friend's house in CT for dinner and then stayed over when the weather turned to sleet and the news said black ice. Despite my snows, I wasn't that brave/stupid. Creeped home along Mass Pike during rush hour today. Got 26 MPG for the trip, not bad.

That does sound like a good time amy! I took my beloved down to five mile point park in new haven on saturday to get some good ocean vistas. Its still a bit chilly for swimming though, sad.

The thing I don't like about being a girl and driving a truck (my parents GMC 2500) is all the creepy guys in Semis who try to get your attention and wave to you....

I love going to bruins it's too bad they lost they started off awesome but just couldn't keep it up. there is one thing that is better about watching them on TV, when there definitely going to loose you can just shut the TV off.

I went last week, and I'm going again next week. They've had a great season but they're struggling lately.

My favorite hockey team is of course, BU Terriers. And they kick serious butt. Agganis Arena is really nice too, BU Dog Pound cheering section is crazy. I highly recommend people checking it out, we love our hockey team (not like we have a football team...).

I remember right around the time I graduated HS (mid 90s), a guy was recruited from my HS to play for the BU football team, and then it was disbanded. It was a pretty big deal back then.

I guess the lesson here is be careful with flammable products
I've done that. I have a few scares on my hands from the metal poping and a piece of steel going through my gloves. Hurts like a bitch.

So im sitting in my hotel room catching up on my email email after a long day sweating it out in the sun (literally...im in tampa) and just got to the sixth and final beer in monday-and-tuesday-night-sixpack.

Ive been using unopened beers to pry off caps....lever style as my church key is at home

How can i get this sixth cap off?

Suggestions welcome as i really dont want to drag my a$$ down to the desk

Look for a loose screw on an air return vent. Worked for me many a time.

new wheel rant

So i take my new wheels to have the ole runflats mounted and balanced and put on. however I show up and they have wrongly placed the the drivers side tires on the wrong wheels! front tires on the rear wheel etc. They are confused but i assure them after showing them how retarded it looked that they were wrong. then a moron has the nerve to tell me something was rubbing up front, REALLY?. My reaction was nothing less than shocking to them I would hope. Either way, while re-mounting and balancing the drivers side wheels they manage to scratch and dent each one. So, I raise hell cursing out the moron who had the nerve to ask me if I had left and come back! now my brand new rims have to be refurbished already. I am angered. snow tires will go back on tomorrow. This damn refurbishing better not take long!

Use the striker plate on one of the door frames. Car keys will also work.
