BMWCCA Membership Drive

For those of you who aren't members yet of BMWCCA, they are doing their Membership drive till July. Sign up so you can get you discounts at the dealership for parts and wait a year before you trade your car in for a 335I. Get $1000 rebate back from them for being a member.

The current rebate on 3-series is $500. Is there some new plan to rebate more for the 335?

BMWCCA is worth far more than the discounts. Just getting Roundel alone is worth it's weight in gold.

EDIT: For those that don't know, Roundel is the BMWCCA's monthly magazine.

What’s the $1000 rebate? I've never seen a rebate this high on the current 3 series line.

A suggestion to BMWCAA if they want a flood of memberships: Offer the current $500 rebate to new members that initially sign up & pay for 2 years (or 3 years). In the end its the same to BMWCCA that they have membership dues for 2 years before they give the $500 rebate. Maybe BMWCCA won't want a flood of new members off the showroom floor.

If that’s the case, then institute a 3 month waiting period so new members like many on this board can plan ahead to join and still get the rebate. This would bring in many more new members as an incentive than making someone wait a year for the rebate.

Just a thought.

ok, what are some other benefits of being a member besides roundel? from what i read on their website, all the really cool events are all on the west coast. i don't count discounts on parts as one of the benefits either because your dealership must participate in the program for one, and for two, let's say you buy 1-2 accessories a year, the most, because for the rest, you usually go to 3rd party, it's still not worth it.

i don't know. i looked up their website local to my town and it seems like they just go for lunch every month and that's about it. if that's the case, it reminds me of a fraternity, where you have to pay to get together with people that have similar interests.

maybe i'm just being sceptical...

If anyone decides to join, use my membership number - 36024 - as referrer.

I have no idea what this does for me but...

Seriously, anyone who would question the wisdom of the $40/year membership. Just one car and you get the membership reward of a minimum of $500, plus the Roundel subscription, discounts at certain dealers on parts, and all the great club activities (NY chapter has several autocrosses and driver schools planned; we just had our 13th annual February Beach Party).

ditto to what Jonathan says above.

You do not need to be a BMW owner to join.

You get the magazine, discounts, and you can go to the driving schools and track events.

A friend of mine just got track instructor training for FREE just for being a member and being interested in the training. And he is not a BMW owner (we can forgive that, right?)
