People driving in the left lane pisses me off too. Maybe Im an ashole but if the speed limit is 65 and your doing 80 and I am doing a 100 just move over. I hate having to flash my brights.

If anyone is going faster than me I would instantly move over.

Story from2 days ago: So Im going aqbout 110 on the highway a car in the left lane going 75 wont move over im on her tail then slams on her brakes so hard to make a skid and then she sped up and did it again! then she moved over and signaled for me to go by after a few minutes of her refusing to get over. So i speed up and thought i just drive by but now she seriously atempts to run me right into the median. It was either i slam on the brakes or she slams into the side of my car and puts me in the medain. Are people really this crazy?! over 1 flashing of the brights? So then I decided she is nuts and slowed down and just moved over to get away from her.

You’re lucky you live in the Midwest. In LA (or FL) you would have been shot while you passed instead of her attempting to run you off the road. Not saying the other driver was right (she wasn’t), but people have been shot at for less than tailgating and flashing the high beams. Of course they have also been shot at for hitting the brakes intentionally. Everyone on the roads just needs to chill out.

I agree 1,000%.

Some people feel they pay their road taxes and as long as they're doing the speed limit; they can drive in any lane they want.

If they don't move over after I flash my brights; I normally leave them on until they finally move over.

I wish I could be more calm, but I can't.

If there was an accident; I'm sure it would be my fault for road rage.

What's driving me crazy these days are people on their cell phones in the fast lane who are not even aware they are driving a car.

I'm seeing more and more of this.

It has been proven that people drive slower when they're on cell phones.

If you are on your cell phone; please do not drive in the fast lane.

Don't get me wrong; I NEVER tail gate someone in the slower lanes.

I live in red neck land and the other day I had 3 pick up trucks in front of me in the fast lane doing 60/65 in a 65 speed limit. :mad:

They had traffic ALL backed up.

For mine it was simply an R & R effort with the European switch. I think the wiring is already there. Even the dash light comes on.

The part number on the box my switch came in is 6131 6932796.

A couple of things to keep in mind, though, is:

a) when the (rear) foglights are on, the adaptive brake lights aren't available since they use the same unit.
b) the headlights must be on for the rear fog lights to work.

Small worry since you're not likely to ever really need to turn those puppies on.

I've slowed down to 35 before in the fast lane because some idiot decided to get right up my ass even though I was only ONE car length behind the car in front of me. It wasn't like I could speed up even if I WANTED to. Anyways...I pulled the emergency brake (supposedly this slows you down without your brake lights coming on, but I'm not sure and never checked) and slowed down to about 35...there were cars on the right lane so he couldn't pass (this was relatively busy traffic mind you (southern cali))...he decides to turn on his highbeams, I flip up my rear view mirror (95 integras don't have auto-dim ) and flip him off from inside my car. Then the right lane opens and he swerves over and I punch it and keep him on my right (there was PLENTY of space in front of me now since I was going 35) and kept him there until he almost rammed into a car in his lane trying to pass me...then he had to get behind me again...turned on the high beams...I slowed down...rinse repeat...the entire length of the 22 freeway.

I'm a nice guy when I drive...I don't cut anyone off and if I see someone with a blinker on, I let them in front of me no problem as long as they are going the same speed or faster than me. But if someone's an asshole to me...the gloves come off. I used to open my sunroof and toss pennies out hoping they'd hit the car that was tailgating me. I would toss drinks out as well. If I it was a REALLY nice car behind me that looked freshly cleaned, I'd turn on my front and rear window washer fluid so it would spray their car.

Yeah...I guess I can be evil if agitated.

But I never draw first blood!

what about when you're getting off the freeway? Like when you're going home and you turned into your street and the car in front of you is going like 25 in a 40mph. You could pass them but you're about 1 min away from the turn and you're not sure if you could even pass her cus the other lane might just slow down as soon as you changed lane. This freaking pissed me off. How can people go SLOWER than the posted speed? I know it's the LIMIT but jeeeezzzzz.

Amen. In the USA, it's simple good manners to move aside for faster traffic if you are in the left lane. Either that or hit the throttle hard enough to pull away. If you're in the right lane, faster traffic has to move aside for you. On a freeway, passing on the right is poor manners and reserved only for when alternatives disappear. At least, that is how I've always understood matters.

I have no hesitation about using my high beams on left-lane bandits (people stacked up in the left lane behind someone else, of course, excepted). I've never understood why some people are so obnoxious that they sit in the left lane, driving at or below the posted limit, just to antagonize complete strangers (sometimes many of them, all in a line). What is their problem?

I've toyed with suggesting the idea of grading people for their expertise at the driver's license exam. Those who score particularly well would be issued grenade launchers to help clear the roads of jerks like that. Good for the public at large.
