Rennestil Performance Downpipe
I'm in the market for a downpipe, was looking at VRSF but they seem to be sold out until the 19th. I happened across a thread that mentions the Rennestil Downpipe is decent, did some searching and only found a for sale thread that mentions them and a distributer selling them for 200 more than they are on
http://store.uucmotorwerks.com/mobil...ine-p1347.aspx Are there any issues with this DP? I never see them come up in comparisons or threads about DP's. Any insights on this? Is it a decent piece fitment wise? The price is great (about $250 shipped). |

Hard to tell for sure, but it looks like a nice piece. T-304 stainless and made in the USA. For that price I'd be tempted to buy it just to get a closer look at it and do a test fit. Then if you're satisfied with the quality you can keep it, or return it if not. You could also try calling UUC to ask them what they think about it?

If you are doing the install yourself and dont mind spending a day trying to get it to fit, get one.
Worst case scenario it does not fit and you wasted 5 hours. If you are paying someone to do it, just wait for VRSF

Do you have experience with me? Is fitment that bad?

I dont have experience with it but judging by hundreds of other Chinese copies of copies install it trickier and fitment is rarely spot on.

I have a Rennestil DP that I purchased from UUC. I picked Rennestil cause of the price and it was made in USA. Its been in the car for about a year no issues. I had it installed so I cant comment on how hard it is to put on.

Thanks, the 100% built in the US appeals to me too. Gonna mull over VRSF vs Rennestil over the weekend.

I ordered a cheeping one off of eBay, don’t remember the brand... but it did not fit at all. Oxygen sensor was hitting the exhaust manifold. Ended up tossing it and getting vrsf which was perfect.

Did you get the dp fix O2 simulator with the pipes? If so, was it simple enough to? Do I need them or if I get a JB4 tune, can that do the job instead of the O2 simulator? |
