anyone using Bridgestone RE003
does anyone run these here?
i hear good feedback from friends who use these tyres and read positive reviews on the net. only thing is these tyres speed rating ,W, arent the matched ones on our stock run flats of Y (re050a) i know i doubt i will ever go that fast to hit those speed ratings so i assume i can disregard that. Thanks guys !

Most people are buying the Firestone Indy 500 instead for a lot less. Reviews have been very favorable. Basically uses the same tread pattern. Not sure on the compound though. I am trying to decide if I go with the Indy 500s or PSS.

Pretty much the same tyre. Over here the Adrenalin series gets a lot of attention and advertising. The sizes we get here pretty much tell you their intended market. For a tyre produced in a country Australia is so close with, it ought to be cheaper but i reckon Bridgestone's making a huge killing.
What's the best price you've been offered and for what size? |

The Firestones can be had for about $400 for a set, and the Bridgestones seem to cost about $400 more per set.

I bought 225/40 and 255/35 18" RE003s a few weeks back for my car under the buy 3,get the 4th tyre free deal.
Price from Bridgestone Select at Five Dock, Sydney was $877 fitted, breakdown: - 225/40/18 = $199/each (one free) - 255/35/18 = $339/each Pretty good pricing, I thought. Initial feedback on the tyres is good although I haven't had the chance to really push them on a twisty drive.

I doubt the Firestone Indy tires are the same rubber compound as RE003.
RE003 have treadwear rating = 220. Indy 500 treadwear rating = 340. I have the RE003 on my E90. |

I don't think this particular Firestone tire officially available in Australia. They are mainly for the US market. If you find the Firestone Indy 500 for sale here, they might be a parallel import.
