2 step flames
Hey guys, so I'm waiting to install my 2 step, so I want to shoot flames after that, yeah I know it's bad for this and that, but I just want a way to shoot flames..I need a exhaust set up for that, any idea if I can do it with a muffler? Im on vrsf 3inch and n55 mids and getting a axle back (stay tuned for pics). It's either one without a muffler or with, but if the shooting flames won't work with a muffler I'm going to go without one. Any experience or opinions? Please keep the negative feedback to yourself! Thank you!

My 1M shot bursts of flames out the exhaust whenever I downshifted when I had my car fully catless (AR downpipes and Maddad mid pipes). The OEM muffler didn't matter. :P
It was pretty funny and LOUD when it backfired. Hahah It worked with 2-Step as well.

I was driving back from MFest and got a call from someone on these forums that was behind me and said I was shooting flames.
N55, straight pipe, jb4 + methanol injection. Just saying for those N55's that want it to happen. |

I would be much more concerned for the engine. The cylinder head, valve seat pressure, exhaust valve material are probably not going to hold up. The bang in the manifold can overheat the exhaust valve, blow a hole in them, ruin the valve seat seal, etc.
Even if it toasts a turbo those are relatively cheap and easy to replace compared to chucking a piece of an exhaust valve, having it bounce around in the cylinder, then having to rebuild the entire longblock. This is monumentally stupid, but whatever. Be prepared to spend $10k next week to replace or rebuild the longblock.
