hmmm...all the "regular" knob creek is 100 proof (both the bourbon and the rye)...it's one of the things that makes it among my favorite everyday bottles.

you had me worried!! the last time i bought it, costco had a rebate going so i bought 4 bottles at like $25...so i havent actually looked at a new bottle on the shelf in a few months. i thought maybe they had decided to cut it!! thank goodness they didnt cut it...because it's still a really good value, even if after they pulled the 9-year age statement.

Stitzel-Weller love

I really love this Blade and Bow by Stitzel-Weller. I always get the number II version. I don’t know if it’s different from the other 4 versions but they say it is.

The key, numbered 1-5 and the description of each number is on the bottle, bottom.

I don’t know if they’re really different but they say they are and I like the 2, a lot.

Pretty good. Not blow my mind fantastic. Not sure what I would liken it to, maybe knob creek with more complex finish along the fruity or sweet line. Seemed like vanilla maybe lingering. Place I went to they must have no idea what it is gave me a solid double for cost of single.

Figured with all of the rum talk I should pick up some sipping rum, so I grabbed a bottle of Zaya.

Also found some Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky and it is superb. I might have to pick up a backup for that bottle.

Fixed your typo.

Well I didn't know it was wine day yesterday so I just did a tasting of whisky and whiskey instead. Has some Hibiki, Bib and Tucker, and Glenmorangie Tusail. All very good choices.
