The Britalman's heat shield looks even smaller than the Fujita's, but keep in mind this doesn't prove much until we get a dyno with the stock intake.

Is it just me or Fajita is a funny name for an intake brand (or any car related stuff)?

looking forward to comparison with stock air box.

so far, all i can say is i'm not surprised. my first impression of design of the intake was not a good one.

Well, when you put something like this in as a replacement intake, I would be surprised if I saw any gains...

Oops my bad... I swear it was a typo

But seriously, how do you pronounce Fujita? I always read it the same as fajita in my head.

there is a difference between TACO and FAJITA you morons!!!
that was funny nonetheless.

Its so sad to see so many newbies in this thread. For those newbies,
before you start asking elementry grade questions, please to take a visit to:
www.howstuffworks.com and read some tech. articles before asking questions.

anyways, Hunter, please show us a stock dyno so we can do a comparison.
Try to keep the dyno condition/variables as same as when you dynoed the Fujita intake, so we can get least comparable dynos. shame you didn't do it on the same day.

So, how much was the Fujitsu - sorry Fujita air intake modification?

Sorry to read that after all of your effort and spending your hard earned money, the intake seems to be a dud.

Its always so exciting buying extra bits for the car as you have. At least the other extras did not dissapoint.

I hope you get this intake issue sorted.

Let us know when you put your e90 back on the dyno now that you have the stock version back in.

Coming from a world of Mitsu Evo's, an aftermarket intake was a very popular mod. But due to the additional air provided by the intake the car would perform poorly. But after some "tweaking" with fuel maps in the vehicle's ecu, performance gains was impressive. I'm assuming the BMW is the same way.

That's my $0.02

Theres got to be more to this than we know.

I dont think its possible for a company to produce a product without testing it out on their own. If they saw an improvement, where did it go on your car...?
