Will thicker bar aftermarket front kidney grill hurt cooling?
So, I'm probably being over-analytical, but saw some aftermarket front kidney grills and really like the all black and in this case, thicker 2 bar design (more modern). the only worry I have is they seem to block a lot more than the thin "blades" on the stock grills and cooling is one thing these cars don't need "less" of. Thoughts?

I made the switch to the "more modern" design some time ago on my 135i. Since then I have not notices any real difference in water temperature (I monitor through OBD). Traffic and throttle use seem to have greater impacts.

had them on my 135i and no difference whatsoever. top tip though; when I installed mine, I had to actually heat the plastic tabs on the new grilles and bend them "outward" a bit for them to seat properly.
