I previously had a 2013 328i I bought with 15k miles on it 3 years ago. My commute has me putting a lot of miles on though, so I bought a rebuilt 2008 135i Cabriolet for dirt cheap to use as a daily driver. My 135i made me despise my 328i... especially after going full bolt on with tune. I decided to sell my 328i and put the money towards something a little nicer. Ended up with a 2011 e92 M3 with comp package. I also thought about the M235i but decided on the M3. After driving my M3 and 135i I couldn't go back to the likes of a Nissan Altima or Honda Accord. EVER

I decided I want to keep my 128i for a long time. It's unique because it was priced reasonably and you get all of the quality of bigger/pricier BMW's in the 1 series. Does anyone think the Inline 3.0 V6 is better than these new 2.0 turbos?
Maintenance wise, isn't there a much higher chance of having issues with the turbo? I'm not a super mechanical person, but I just think these newer cars with small engines and turbo ...I don't think they will hold up like the 6 cylinder....more crap to go wrong? |

I also would like to know how the new 2.0 turbos are holding up. I got the 128 instead of 135 because of all the turbo issues. Dont know how the 2ers sounds but the straight 6 sounds amazing
