WTB in GTA: Michelin PSS 18" 215/40 and 245/35

As the title says I'm putting out a feeler to see if anyone has some Michelin Pilot Super Sports for sale in the stock sports package sizes of 215/40/18 and 245/35/18. Prefer lightly used, lower km set and only really need the rubber (will consider wheels if in good shape). If so PM me.

Why are you looking for discontinued tires?

PSS was slowly replaced by PS4S over the last two years.

PSS is still an excellent tire; chances of someone selling slightly used is about nil.I did buy a very good set some years ago but these were off a lease return and owner put the RFT's back on. OP is best off buying new but maybe something of less quality in Firestone, Hankook, etc. A local garage here had Hankooks RS4 on sale last fall at a price that beat the Tire Rack.

Okay I'll just get the 225/255 PS4's then and mount them on my 18" stock wheels hoping for the best. Was hoping not to spend $1,500 on tires this time around but c'est la vie. Michelin's are the only tire I'll use, just the best all around.

How do they ride comfort and noise wise compared to the Michelin's?

The General is a very new tire and is not fully rated yet but The Tire Rack expects it to be one of the very best in the UHP class.

For a daily driven street tire I have to agree with the OP. Michelin makes incredibly high quality tires, the only other brand I've found that comes close is Continental.

Good call on the PS4s

I'm not sure how helpful this is.

Want to take a road trip to Rhode Island? Good deal on PSS

I had originally planned to go with Continentals from Tirerack and do cross border fitting, but getting the G-MAX from the local dealer was a lot more convenient. I'm still on run-flats at the moment so they will be a lot smoother ride for me !
I'm waiting for the temperature to climb before i have them fitted so I'm just going by the reviews.

Caved and ordered the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Its my daily driver and is used in the rain. Best comfort and rain performance I know of. Thankfully the last time I bought my PSS was six years ago so if the MP4S last as long I won't have to think about spending $$ again for a while.
