Ass deep in the valve cover removal for the essentric shaft actuator replacement. I'm stuck on the fuel inject wires and how to remove the harness without breaking the clips. What a PITA! Taking a small break to write this because frustration was setting in. I'll snap some pictures of the new part and such. Vespa on the e90 forum wrote quite a lenghty blog about the N55 vavle cover removal. Most of it is just common sense once you look and figure out where stuff needs to be removed to get the cover off.

It is a beautiful day here in Vancouver, a bit windy but 22 deg celsjus... not bad for the end of October. It was the perfect weather to wash my car before finally saying goodbye for the winter... these are going to be long six months.

I removed the 10mm hub-centric spacers from the rear. Rubbed WAYYY too much.
Also adjusted the e-brake, as it settles from the rebuild two weekends ago. Also took a bunch of camber out of the rear. I calculated that I was running with -2.2 degrees in the rear. I adjusted it so that it's more like -1.5 degrees. Now the toe setting is way off, it bump steers like a wheelbarrow. Tomorrow's job...

Finally bought one of these. I do realize ECS has it for like $110, but I'd like to avoid that if possible lol, considering the retrofit kit (which is NLA) was like $80 new. Who's gonna hype me up to cut a hole in my dash?

My weird noise is WAYYYY louder now that I have a profane amount of toe-in at the rear. It makes the car sound like a steam train...
I'm now really thinking that tires are the culprit, especially as they've been through 2 track days in Summer weather... desertman123, I like the idea of it, but I don't like the look of it...

Question - does E9X M3 front seats fit in the E8X?
Would like to confirm if these are plug/play if not seats are power and sport? Read a couple threads - but they are older.... |
