Just an update: went to see open road bmw in edison...lease rates were pretty similar circle: gave me a 60% residual after 36 months, but crappy money factor that the guy said he wouldn't change.
As expected, not willing to sell below MSRP, but was open to doing a deal on the Black/Coral Demo car every dealership has...though I wouldn't buy that thing with the amount of people beating on it. |

I went to Freehold BMW and Circle BMW. On my first trip to Freehold, I dealt with Rick, who wasn't very knowledgable about the car and was unwilling to give me a deal at all. I had 2 trade ins and when he told me no discount on the msrp, he could make it up on the trade ins. he ended up offering me $4,000 less than what the cars were worth, so I left.
Went back again and deal with Bob Burke. Added $1,000 to my trade ins, but still too far away to make a deal. Went to Circle and dealt with Alan Tennenhaus. Spoke to Joe, the sales manager ahead of time. They told me they would give me a good deal and valued my business. Overall, they were both ok to deal with weren't able to even match Freehold's trade in number. Finally, they said if they could match the trade-in would I make the deal... Basically, I told the guy that merely matching the trade in number isnt doing me any favors. Circle ended up giving me $200 under MSRP. I called Freehold from Circle and they made me a better offer on the trades and matched the $200 off MSRP. Bob Burke is pretty good over at Freehold. That being said, he's only pretty good because he's slightly more down to earth than the other guys. As a younger guy, I felt they were trying to work me the whole time. Those trades are worth more than what I got for them, but the difference was not enough when you add in the sales tax factor and I felt better about just unloading the cars to a dealership even though I could have probably sold both cars in a day or two given the hits on craigs list. PM me if you want more details. Sorry for the long post fellas. |

Avoid Jerry Deleon in the internet dept., he has no guts to talk to his management, I ended up going elsewhere. He also isn't sure of what he has or what he can do.

I posted it earlier.
But if you missed. Joe Liu from BMW of Bloomfield. One of the nicest and most helpful sales guys I've ever worked with. He also took some money off the price for me too. |

I originally thought this way, but the older I get the more I realize that all of life is about haggling.
