Question What are people paying for 2012 135i and 128i orders?

What are people paying for 2012 135i and 128i orders? I want to get moving on this soon. Just want to see what I should be negotiating towards, ballpark.

If you can mention the msrp and the price that you got (before taxes and whatnot), options you have, etc, that would be great.

I didn't see a thread on this -- apologies if I missed it.

Thanks all! And congrats to all the new owners (read: I'm jealous)

There is a profit margin of 8% on MSRP on 135s. 2012s are trickling into the dealers now. You may get a better deal on 2011s that have been sitting a while. I got a discount of 4% on my 2011 135.

I've always paid 100 dollars over invoice on every BMW I've ever owned.

I paid $500 over invoice for my 128i, plus some fees.

But then again, my car isn't being built til the first week of July even though I ordered it mid-April (see http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=535927). Makes me wonder if I would've got it faster if I paid MSRP...

Anything over ED 600 invoice is too much.

$500 over invoice is a skinny car deal...

While the forum would have you believe this is the average - I can tell you it's not...

I concur more likely to be $1000 or more. Try the dealerships internet sales staff.

$500 is very feasible... especially considering the fact that this is pretty much the end of the current body style.

Back in Nov 09, I got my 2010 135i for below invoice... (I took advantage of the holiday cash deal)

Even my e92 coupe in 2007, was a super hot car at the time, exactly 500 over invoice.

It takes a little work, but after several emails and phone calls, you can find the rock bottom.

BMW hiked the price of the 135i, and I personally would not touch it at these prices. Go get the ///M coupe.

Here is my advice: build the car on edmunds. It will give you the invoice and MSRP of the car you're buying and I found it to be perfectly accurate. With that in hand, call your dealer and tell them the exact spec of the car you want to order. They will build it up on there end and tell you the MSRP. Make sure it matches what you calculated. Tell them you have the invoice pricing right in front of you and you will give them $500 over that amount.

Once the dealer sees that they can NOT pull any tricks with you they do one of those "Ok motherfucker, what's it going to be? Let's get this over with..." I ended up paying $700 over invoice with mats at the dealer less than 5 miles from my house. I could have paid $500 over at another dealer much farther from home but $200 is NOTHING in the grand scheme of things and it's always advantageous to purchase from the dealer that will be servicing the car. Don't let pride get in the way of sensibility.

Good luck!!

Very true. That's $200 well spent.

I never said $500 over wasn't possible... I said it was a "skinny" car deal...

Doing $500 over deals doesn't provide a quality level of service or a sustainable model of business either...

A few hundred one way or another should not be deal breaker with a car worth 40K or more.

BMW uses Manheim. Invoice prices should be the same on KBB or Edmunds.

From my earlier post regarding leasing. The deal was to be invoice + $500 and the buy rate on the lease financing. From what he showed me that is what I got though I sold cars for a bit years ago and it always seemed there were ways they would get their pound of flesh. Still I am ok with payment and I write off most of it.

I just leased a SGM, grey wood, blk lthr manual shift 135 with:
Convenience pkg
M Sports
Premium
Heated seats
H-K sound
Satellite
MSRP $46,850
With a $5k "drive off"
12k miles / year - 36 months
$479 + local tax/mth

I love the car but every time I see a 1M I'm going to have to keep repeating $479 a month, $479 a month, $479 a month, in my mind. GJ
