See, that's what I don't get. Even as an amateur german speaker, I'd say this guys don't speak german none too good.

There are better ways of clarifying this, something like:

Ich habe keine Garantie. Ob der Scheck ist schlecht, dann der Bank wird nicht geprüft.
I have no guarantee. If the check is bad, then the bank will not cash it.

OR

Dein Scheck ist schlecht, und wir können nicht unser Geschäft fortführen.
Your check is bad, and we can not continue our business.
