I'm guessing the auto trans options for the 1 will mirror that of the 3 series'. Meaning, the 135 will probably have the paddle shifter option, just like the current 335.

It would be sweet if they used the dual clutch setup like the M3 but it's not gonna happen.

Anyway, my thinking is that if there is any technology that has been used on the 3 Coupe, it's probably going to find its way to the 1. Everything but x-Drive...from what I've been told it will throw the 50/50 balance way off.

The auto is a ZF six-speed unit with torque converter - paddle shift will probably be an option. The neat thing is this is an auto that'll rev-match downshifts. Whoda thuunkit!! Oh and welcome Bill!!

The more important question is why would you ruin the ultimate driving machine with a slushbox?

Just kidding.

Sort of...

Damn, you want to sell it to me in December?? I have an 04 with 60,000miles. And they were HARD miles. Honda does build a bulletproof car. Carmax wants to give me 19k for her. I'm thinking about getting a 2006-7 with about 6k on it in December. I'd drive that for a year then get the 135i, then I'd stash the S away.

That may be what i do, i have a hard top with mine and GPW is kinda rare. I waited for long time for somebody
to make something like the S.

You have a hardtop too!!! I envy you man. I dont think I'd do another GPW when I get the other. Since I'm going through all the trouble of another I'd have to switch it up. GPW is my favorite though. I dunno we'll see.

LBP would be my next choice. Actually, there could be a possibility that i would sell next spring, dont know yet.
I need to weigh some options. I may buy an 08 an hold it. My buddy owns a Honda dealership, so i can get close to invoice.
