This was one of my last cars. I had a A4 for two years before the 135i but I hated that car. It was temporary until something came out that would catch my eye, hence the 135i!. 04 VW R32 in winter mode. I miss the sound of that car! Crashed it back in 04 (5 weeks after delivery, 13K damage), drove it for two years but never felt the same as new.

Amazing cars!

2007 Civic EX. It's not going anywhere because it gets 41 mpg for me. It'll be the daily driver while the Bimmer sits in the garage.

I'll go ahead and take it to a new low...

2000 Ford Crown Victoria LX (black)

Not sure if the LX stands for "Lack of eXhilaration" or what, but it definitely can't be luxury.

No pictures because its probably not worth it. That being said, it has been a very reliable car through grad school... there must be a reason why taxis and police use them. 100k miles and still chugging along fine.

Looking to do PCD on a 128i in September... not ordered yet though.

representative picture, courtesy of Edmunds (looks fast, doesn't it). I will actually say that it does look better in person.

Oh yeah...
I think I read that the average age of a Crown Victoria owner (non-fleet) was... wait for it... 62. I think I must be about 7 standard deviations on the young end of that distribution.

'04 STi
APS turbo back exhaust, CAI, dyno tune - 300 hp, 325 lb-ft at hubs
Swaybars, endlinks, ssk, some other random go fast stuff.

It was loud inside, outside, generally angry. The suspension was hard on my back. Most people that rode in it considered it sensory overload and quite a few actually got car sick. After three years, I was even tired of listening to the turbo and BOV like it was in my lap. I could count on being harassed by the Mass staties about once a month. I say harassed because I would get pulled over asked 20 questions (usually ending somewhere around "Is that a stock exhaust?") and then told to go on. I don't miss any of that.

What I do miss is not having DSC/DTC to even have to think about turning off and locking diffs. Not having to deal with MSD81 was nice, too.

Mine was my first Bimmer (E90 323i), and while I really enjoyed it ... I did find out how much I really dislike beige interiors, so I am very glad I didn't buy it !!

2003 Z4 3.0 - Great car, but wanted something a bit larger for extended touring. The 128i 'vert is more comfortable, yet almost as agile as the Z4 in spite of the additional weight. The ride is much better and it looks like the fuel economy should be almost as good - ca. 30 mpg at highway speeds. And I can live with a .6" longer 0-60 time.

07 Range Rover Sport Supercharged - Daily driver. Love that truck, trading it in for the 135. It killed me on gas mileage and maintainance. I also really miss driving a manual. Best SUV I've ever driven though. (Would take it over a Cayenne any day)

02 Subaru wrx - Prepped for racing and occasionally driven on the street. Made 588whp/480ft.lbs on c16. Stupid fast, loud, and uncomfortable. Great project car, but also a money pit. It sits in storage now.

Pretty much the same reason(s) I decided to part ways with my car.

It was an '04 STi as well. Just about anything that could be modded was and while it was insanely easy to drive like a pro and was crazy fast, it was extremely unpleasant when I just wanted to go out for a nice cruise.

It was probably around 430-450 hp at the crank at its peak and capable of 11s, but this couldn't make up for the fact that it nearly knocked the fillings out of my teeth everytime it his a bump!

No regrets though - it was a fun car!

Um...'97 Civic ex coupe. It was my undergrad and grad school car. Obviously doesn't compare to the 1, but it was my first car and I'm still sad to see it go - lots of memories in that thing (road trips and such).
