Yep, SoCal all my life. I said I feel it, meaning I feel for you. And true, have not experienced it, nor do I want to. lol

Picked up a 135i gauge cluster so I can see oil temp and have an 8k redline. Pretty easy swap, just needed to move my old EEPROM chip to the new board. Didn't even need to use a programmer lol (I really didn't feel like buying one for using it once ever). That plus PerfektToolbox worked great for setting everything up and calibrating the needles. The new cluster is out of a 2009, and I think it has a newer version of KOMBI lol, my old tire pressure warning would only show a big TPMS logo, but now it actually says which wheel is low!

I'm your latest fan lol. This is a cool build, and I also like your plans for the exhaust. Hoping it'll give you the sound you want, minus the dreaded highway drone.

Seen you posting around over on E90Post for some time, always noticed your build but never looked into it. Very nice so far! Definitely subbed to this thread! I actually just picked up a set of the style 197s for my E90. Need to get one repaired that has a crack, and then powder-coated. Thinking anthracite will pair well with my jet black.

You also have inspired me to look into mudflaps, so thanks for that.

Oh and do you have any sound clips of your exhaust? Interested about the headers.

Month late reply lol.

Here's some exhaust clips of a few iterations of my car.

Think I'll make a new video one of these days of the current setup. Maybe not so cheesy this time

Sounds great, I will get the headers far down the road, after I swap a 6MT into my car first. We have the same exhaust tips I believe.

Figure I'd update this thread. Been doing a little bit of photography lately. My boss upgraded his camera so he gave me his old one's body. Nikon D90. I picked up some cheap lens for it off Facebook/eBay and started shooting. I'm getting the basics down, especially the aperture settings so I can get that sweet bokeh .

I've always been envious of people eye-popping photography and I'm so excited to join in. Always wanted to get into photography but I just didn't care enough to wanna spend the money. Now I need to start figuring out Lightroom.

If anyone's got advice lemme know!

Nikon D90
Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8
Nikkor AF-S 18-55 f/3.5-5.6

Agree, just take a lot of photos and try new stuff. Don't fall into the trap of thinking high end equipment = good photos. A D90 with a "nifty fifty" (50mm prime) is a great place to start and learn. I had a 50 1.8 but moved to a 1.4 when a friend ran over the 1.8 with his car. I would probably still shoot with the 1.8 if it wasn't destroyed. It is acceptable across all the performance metrics and is CHEAP. The 18-55 isn't one I'd hang onto though. The zoom is kind of a crutch... IMO you are better off using the 50 and zooming with your feet if you want to learn quickly.

I like your photo a lot! The haze around the 128i logo is bothering me... you might try stopping down one stop and see if you get more consistent sharpness. Other than that, there isn't much to criticize in that shot!

Thanks for the advice! I bought the kit lens to have more of a quicker "point and shoot" lens rather than a "photoshoot" one but I'm finding I'm never really using it except for wide angle stuff.

Been playing with the aperture to try and keep the depth but not have reflective things get that haze. Still not sure how to get that last bit of sharpness out of the shot though.

Have you looked into polarizing filters?

I haven't - should I?

I've gotten pretty comfortable with the camera and its settings in general so I'm happy with a lot of shots but now just wondering how to strive for more.

Bonus pic of my mom's Minolta Maxxum 9000 (which sadly doesn't work anymore). The 50mm 1.4 on it is awesome.

The filters help reduce glare and reflections and what not. Makes the paint and windows look better. Beware though, price doesn't mean its better. My gf use to work at bestbuy and they were like $40cad there but she'd them for $5.

I wouldn't shop for lens accessories at Best Buy.

Fair enough. I wouldn't stack 2 pieces of mediocre glass. I have a "kit" lens but it still gets a B&W brand filter.
