Homestead Grand Prix: Continental Tire Challenge (pics)
Thanks to Dan from United BMW for pics of the Homestead race on a separate thread.
However, as nice as it was that BMW won in its class, there were 2 1-Series in the Continental Tire Challenge, and since I am painfully overboard on being a true 1Addict, my pics have a certain focus. They were 128's because for some reason, the 135 is currently banned for being "too fast". Yes, I know, I hear the collective "WAAAAHHH", and I agree. Tim Bell, one of the drivers, said that they are trying to get the 135 approved. Until then, here are some pics. BTW, both Tim and BJ, the drivers of the #14 car are very cool. Totally wish them luck in the series. (No, not me between the drivers. Some kid jumped into my shot. Oh well) Video here at Enjoy!

ALMS will be at Sebring this SAT. Plenty of BMW's there.

Are turbo power plants allowed in the series?

Great looking car. I hope to be able to meet these guys someday.
And yes, a 135i would clean up the competition so they have to handicap them by making them run the 128i. |
