Smile >> HP Autosport<< BMW 1M Ferodo DS2500 Brake Pads Member Pricing

Available now BMW 1M and M3 applications!

The DS2500 is currently the best hybrid track/street pad on the market. It features the moderately high bite and solid fade resistance of a track pad, with the relatively low dust and noise levels of a street pad. When used as a street pad, it can produce some squeal on certain vehicle platforms. During aggressive driving the DS2500 is known for its flat torque curve, which means as temperatures go up, the response through the brake pedal remains consistent. If you drive aggressively on the street, do some canyon runs, autoX, and maybe some light track duty on street tires, the DS2500 is tough to beat.

When used on fast, heavy cars on the track with race tires, pad wear rates tend to be higher than some of the full track pad compounds. Under those conditions, HPA would recommend the Ferodo DS3000 or DS1.11.

Front pads: $221.00
Rear pads: $213.00

Hi,
Do you offer a brake pad that doesnt squeal? Quietness is primary for me, performance secondary. 2011 BMW 135i coupe.
Thanks.

Hi there,
One member suggested I take off pad sensor and ziptie it somewhere which would eliminate my brake squeaky noise problem. What do you think of this solution?

Pad wear sensor has nothing to do with it, unless your pads are so worn and your sensor is riding on your rotor. If that were the case, shouldn't you be replacing your pads, instead of just relocating the sensor?

Correct, but I was told I have 9mm left.

So are they compatable with pad sensors? If yes, do I have to buy new ones each time I replace the pads?
Thank you!

Yes, they are compatible.

If the brake pad wear sensor light comes on, then new sensors are needed. Otherwise, you'll need to inspect them and make the call yourself. They do sometimes break when removed them from the old pads.

HP Autowerks,
What is your current recommendation (brake pads) for a 2011 BMW 135i coupe?

I am not interested in tracking, just something inexpensive to replace my squeaky brakes.

If you don't track, Stoptech Street Performance or Porterfield R4S pads.

Sometimes you will have to install the sensor on the outboard pad, instead of the inboard pad. As with many clubsport or race pads sometimes the sensors aren't used at all.

I will make sure Ferodo is aware of this issue.
