2009 BMW 135i  [8.50]
Mine has just started to fail at 47K

If your rear main seal is leaking the clutch doesn't have a chance if any of that oil gets on it.

The other thing is, if your rear main seal is leaking after every 40K miles then something is wrong with who ever installed it the 1st time.

Good point. then the odds should be in my favor this time. hard to imagine that the rear main seal was installed incorrectly twice, from 2 different techs.

Have you done a CDV delete too? I just did mine when the weather was nice. A friend of mine is running on the stock clutch with a FBO car with slipping only in the winter when he's making a lot more power, he's had a CDV delete since he bought it and is at 80+K miles on the same clutch. Just makes me wonder if there is any truth to the early worn out clutch and cdv.
