Low Horn assembly ?
Just had my car serviced and had a few things done. Needed rear brakes.... the computer in the dash was acting strange and SA said it was time for new battery. car is 6 1/2 years old so I was expecting that this year.
On the last page of the service bill were two recommended services. Car will need rear shocks for state inspection. 7/15 Car will need "low Horn assembly" in July. What's a "low horn assembly"?

Assuming they are talking about the horns.
There are two horns, a high pitch and a low pitch. No idea why they have it scheduled for July, AFAIK they don't go bad unless they get wet etc. The horn will sound like a clown car if one of them goes out.

Clown horn also
Where is the horn assembly located on the 2011 128i convertible? I can replace the defective horn if I can get to it. I have the clown horn sound.

Don't know exactly where it is located. Dealer replaced it last month, but it was cheap. Around $80 dealer installed.

Front driver side, right under the headlight. Super easy. But doesnt make sense to change it if its not broken.
