Euro intake box

Hi people, i'v just install the european intake box with K&N filter for it on my 128i. Without jumping too fast to conclusion cause i think the ecu may not have finished adjusting, i think it's great.

But i don't know if other people here that have done this mod can answer my interrogations. But beside a welcome gain in power, i think the sound is a bit more muted than with the original north american intake! Is that normal? Not that is a bad thing but i was expecting a bit more noise than the original.

And, not sure if prise wise it's a goog idea, but do you, europe cousin, sincerely find a huge difference between your 125i, 130i stock intake with K&N filter vs the performance intake(european)?

The Euro Intake seems like a better design IMHO. I think the Performance Intake is more restrictive, would not waste my money. Used the AFE filter in my setup.

I would like to see the differences as well of the design. I highly doubt there would be a noticeable difference in power that you can actually feel. In most cars, it takes a good 20 whp and or trq to actually feel and differences. Just saying

The intake provides negligible hp gains but improved throttle response. Could not justify the cost of the performance setup despite the appeal of carbon fiber.

Ok, thanks! Also, I tried looking up both the stock euro intake and the euro performance intake, but wasn't sure which one you guys have. Can you provide any links?
