N51 SULEV warranty, etc?

Are any special parts on my N51 SULEV car covered under a longer warranty then the rest of the car IE fuel pump, etc? Also I looked up the fuel tank/pump and it appears it has a removable pump like the regular N52 engine, am I wrong?

Thanks,
Al.

I looks to be the same as the standard car.

http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...v-warranty.htm

But I too thought it might be longer since the car meets the special SULEV standards.
Btw... all military car sales (MCS) are SULEV specs.

Thanks,

There are 2 rules. You have to find out if NJ has " Partially adopted the Calif. Air resources Board Statutes"... If NJ only partially did, then you just habe your base 4 yr 50k warranty

IF NJ Fully adopted CARB Statutes and the car is currently registered in NJ then you have a warranty on all emission relevant components or systems against defect in product or workmanship for a period of 15 years or 150k !!!!

It appears I'm covered! Here's a list of CARB compliant states/district:
Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, as well as the District of Columbia
My car was originally purchased Southampton, NY (Long Island) It's now registered to me in New Jersey.

If you have the warranty booklet, i recall it should list components.. this little thin booklet was seperate from the owners manual as they were printed state to state.. take a look..

im doing this from memory, so dont hold me to the little booklet... it may be part of the big one ????

remember there is a big difference between adopted and FULLY adopted..

Asked my dealership about the items in question, so I should have an answer by the time I bring it in for service next Thursday. A Tech told me the gas tanks are the same for the SULEV and non SULEV cars. In either case, the siphon pump (not main FP) is a part of the tank, if that fails a tank replacement is in order.
