Leather - what is and what isn't
I recently purchased a 2011 BMW 135i M-Sport with DCT. It has the black Boston leather interior. I am curious to know what interior parts are 'real' leather, and which parts are 'leatherette'. Some manufacturers use leather on the seating surface and vinyl everywhere else (i.e. my new Volvo XC60). In the 135i, everything feels real. The seat backs, the door arm rests and decorative inserts, the entire rear seat, shift boot, e-brake boot.

All you mention above in your post is indeed real Boston leather.
