Yes, they are VERY fun.. As a matter of fact I had to drive my SUV the other day to buy my Christmas tree, and I must say I heaved the whole time.. SUV's, and sedans make me sick, because my 1er has me spoiled.

My car currently has 70K miles on it, is 3 years old, out of warranty, and will cost me no less than 4 grand in maintenance the day I get from England.

But goddammit I love that thing.

What I made bold, I was just wondering why?

i agree that it is a lot of fun, but it would be a much more fun if it came equipped with a LSD... or even a VLSD like my nissan 370z did... this car is way more powerful but in tight turns when I am pushing the car, the lack of a true LSD really limits the fun. By no means do i think the car is lame or boring, i own one and do not regret the switch from the Z at all, but it really does miss one very important component, atleast for me and my driving style. But this car does more than enough to make up for that to many people, which is obvious in these responses, but if everyone who wrote its a blast installed a quaiffe lsd, everyone of you would come back saying its even more fun!

my .02, sorry for the rant

Wet weather + snow tires + empty roads/parking lot makes driving this car a whole lot of fun. So easy to break the rear end loose. Being careful while doing so, of course

After an E53 X5, then a E60 540i, my 135i is an absolute joy especially in the traffic. It's almost akin to riding a motorcycle. Spot a gap, point and fire.

Ohhh ok.. You have a lot of miles on the car and was just looking out for any major issues. I guess none then. Thanks

Yeah I do, but why the hell does it matter? The car is a blast to drive either way.

:edit: Dammit im feeding the troll...efff

:double edit: no im not doing this. Go to a manual vs step vs DCT vs flying saucer vs dinosaur vs superman thread if you want to bash people based on something as stupid as what transmission their car has
