No there are two versions as stated above. One is ugly , I think it's a lci "look" and illuminates from behind that lci shape if you get what I'm saying. The other is the clean look that you are used to.

Yep, the "lines" will light up on the LED ones, whereas on the non-LED it's just normal bulbs behind the panel and the lines won't light up

Not quite the same - it's modelled on the 3/5/7 series shifter...

If anyone hears from Danny at BMW Parts Online UK let me know... I have only heard from him once since I paid him and that was to say he doesn't have any in stock until the end of the month, contrary to what he said before I paid him. Last email I received was on the 4th April.

Just got an email, he said that he was expecting it 24th, but now is expecting it on friday, and will ship monday. We'll have to wait and see i guess.
