Conveince - $3100; 135 ZCP, $1000, plus $2100 for iDrive

Sat radio - $350

Heater Seats - $500

Harmon Kardon - $875

Smartphone integration - $150

Total cost for both packages - $5450...

plus all options, $7325 on top of MSRP for a fully loaded car. Probably looking at low to mid 50's i.e. $54,200 including $875 destination assuming $46k baseprice.

Or you do the math, as your car will suit you. I would get everything as of now except for smartphone because of my BB.

On the basis of the above, I'd be looking at US$52,325. I'd do it if I could get my current car sold.

I have to say I am thoroughly disappointed with the all-in-one packaging.

So it seems it's either all or nothing approach. You want one thing in isolation, oooops, sorry, you can't get it. You have to get the package. Oooops sorry, selecting this package requires you to get the other package...

Great strategy by BMW to extract maximum profit margins. And clicking 2 packages negates (and them some) the alleged weight savings... Big FAIL IMO when it comes to configuration options.

Cold Weather Package$600
Convenience Package$1,000

$44,950

Are we sure the Convenience Package on the 1M includes navigation? That my biggest question. My heart is telling me the 1M fully loaded will be $55k. Deleting all options would place Base MSRP on the 1M at $46550. Say roughly $10k more than the 135i.

But who really knows.

Everyone is hating on nav for this car, but all the official promo pics were of cars with idrive.

This car is going to be north of 60 grand with iDrive in Canada. I guess people's definition of "affordable" varies widely...

You know guys... when I went to BMW's Welt and took pics of the 1M on display there over a month ago - I asked the BMW people there what the price would be. They all thought that the 1M would be around 70K euros. Remember a e90 M3 sells for close to 100k euros over here!

When I told the people there at the Welt that the rumors on the forums had a low to mid $40-$45K base price they were all shocked. They did not think a car like this would sell for so little money.

Lets just wait a little bit longer and see what BMW says @Detriot. Perhaps they are watching and reading what we think - right here on this forum!

What bothers me is requiring one pkg to order another
Since I want a 1M as a daily driver I'd want to order the convenience pkg but would only want the usb out of the premium.

Sorry! I got the info from my dealer in Dallas. Apparently there are only 1000allocated for the US. I'm going to get on their waiting list after the holidays. Accroding to Classic BMW of Dallas the deposit to get on the waiting list is $1000. Not bad but I want to hold out until after Detroit Auto Show in Mid January when they announce pricing.

Im getting mine with Nav. I dont understand with the fuss is about either. I get the whole purist thing, but I still want the option to plug in my ipod or iphone....

Is it just me though, or does it seem like the bottom part of the screen is a little obscure? I'm sure you'll be able to see it just fine when your ass is in the seat. Just wondering?

This thing is going to be expensive. You need to buy a Nav system for a track car just to get key-less entry.

Oops. Looks like the issue was raised. In that case, I say Boolshit and outrageous.

Any one who gets Nav, sun roof or power seats on this car should experience the wrath of the "1 Addict Justice System" comprised of Ex-Gitmo MPs.

Any speculations on the h/k surround system? Is this used in any other current models?

Yep, every US spec '88-,91 E30 M3 owner thought so too. (they all had sunroofs). I would not have ordered mine with it.

What is so hypocritical about wanting to spend money on something and not getting what is essentially a universal item on cars these day? If I want an M with a sunroof, I want one....does that label me a hypocrite? I dont think so. M cars have always come with the option of a sunroof, or sunroof delete (with the exception of an M6 which has a CF roof) and no one has ever complained. I still believe that one needs to break the 'bare/naked' area on the roof with something. I wouldn't complain if the car came with a CF roof, but it doesnt come with neither....which takes away a great aesthetic feature from the car.

It's going to be the same HK as in the 135i.

If you had read the first post in this thread, you would have seen that comfort access is listed only as part of the convenience package and that there is no option whatsoever for 18" wheels.

So, the answer to your question is no.

I've read every post in this thread.
Man, not a very friendly post on your part.
Let's wait and see if either is eventually offered then.
