Nope. With the 128i version, you have to cut the old exhaust at the axle area. The 128i version is only a rear muffler. With the 135i it also includes a y-pipe. They both sound great!

Initially i was looking for one but not at 900 for a used one that is also missing the Y ....
I opened this thread to get a better view of what a used PE should cost when we were in talks.

Fair enough my man!

We aren't too far apart on our prices. I want a fair price and so do you I understand. There aren't many of these in the used market so IMO the prices don't drop too much.

As you said, you can get the same PE sound from hacking your OEM muffler as well. If you are still interested we can work something out

I am in the market for the PE as well. Hopefully you guys are kidding when you say you can hack the OEM muffler to make the same sound.

Anyways, looking forward to my first mod (other than RFT replace)

I bet it would sound awesome. A friend of mine has a N55 with only a AR catted (high flow) downpipe with the stock exhaust... and his car sounds really good!

Not quite PE good, but quite good to my ears. Especially as he comes off slow canon corners and you hear that turbo spool up.
I've just done a Y pipe with my N55 stock muffler with catless DP and PPK!!
Love it... Will link sound when I can
????????

Can anyone chime in why BMW placed that dent along the pipe at the bend just before the muffler?

I'm getting my performance exhaust for $1100 (CDN) + tax. They are putting it on for free.

FYI. you can have the black tips put on the performance exhaust. They slip right on. That's what I did.
