Who has tried this MHD mount?
Wondering if anyone has tried Omar's "Vader clip" for their 135i? wondering if you had to Dremel anything to get your center vent back in ?

I have one.
No trimming needed, but it does take me about 10 times to get it to fit right. Just keep fiddling with it and it will fit.

I'll take a photo when I get home.
I'm driving my other(older) car due to our crappy weather this week. I'm not going to play u-boat with my 135.

I took pictures, but can't post them from my iPad.
I'll post them tomorrow from a PC.

Yeah I ordered mine and it fit but the vent wouldn't clip in . He told me I would have to cut my vent where the bracket comes out(others have had this issue as well). I ended up just cutting behind the vent where it actually rests so it would slide back a few more millimeters and clipped the vent on. Just was wondering why he told me to cut mine and if anyone else had to.. Another thing I would like to ask.. Is in his install video he says to bend the plastic when the nut hits.. That plastic is unbendable lol. So what did you do ? As stated before I just cut it at that part to allow the nut to scoot back slightly .

Here are the pics.
I normally run mine vertically during the day because of my polarized sunglasses. But I took one horizontally since I expect most people will want it this way. Also, I normally turn it horizontal at night. I didn't have to cut anything in order to get mine to fit.

I changed out the tablet mount that Omar sent with a universal swivel, so it is really 1/2 of a Vader-clip.
This works great for my HP tablet and my iPad Mini. Sometimes the HP comes loose under hard acceleration at night when the tablet is horizontal. The HP tablet definitely has to be vertical when using anti-lag! My iPad Mini luckily doesn't have the same problem. But I rarely use the iPad anymore since I got the cheap HP tablet for JB4 Mobile & MHD.

One of them still wouldn't rotate. I figured it was easier for everybody to turn their heads than to continue fighting with it. Ha!

I got mine but it doesn't fit with iDrive
Anyone want to buy it from me? Will sell cheap. You just need to buy a tablet case that screws to the mount.

I honestly like mine .. Just annoying that other people's fit without modification 😇. It's convienent and I can keep my eyes on the road while scanning codes and parameters . Also if you ever get a new tablet it's easily ajustable to fit any case . Don't be shocked though . It is a home depot bracket with bolt and nut ahha. I almost pulled the trigger on that cd mount but read of stories where t actually broke the CD player . There are so many cool options out there though. My buddy is rocking a magnet that works well. I recently also found a "sounder mount" for any far and tablet that looks cools. That's being said I think I'll stick with my Vader clip
