XHP TCU flash- is it safe?

Hey everyone I'm about to flash the xhp stage 1 tune on my 135i but I'm just curious if anyone of you are running it and have had any issues with your transmission? Is this flash safe for the transmission?

wow, necro-bump...
wondered where that dead post smell was coming from...

FWIW, lots of folks here run it,
S1 isn't worth doing, just do Alpina flash instead- changes are pretty much same, but is free.
S2 is nice.
S3 is great and if I could I would've just started with S3.

I started with alpina, then went custom flash adding just the good parts of alpina to oe trans map.
Then I bought S1, and hated it so much I talked them into swapping the cost towards an S2 flash.
Ran S2 for a loooong time and it was fine, but curiosity got the better of me so bought S3

Yeah, should have just started with S3...

I've been S3 since the release and I'm not easy on the car. It's basically maxed out stock parts, all the boosts.

I finally had some problems last year. But until this race season comes I won't know for sure if I've fully fixed them. I think it was more old battery/voltage problem than something transmission related.

But I have something like 40,000 miles on the flash and zero problems.
I will say that since my adaptation reset a couple months ago the car feels even better.

Do keep in mind the flash will not 'fix' any problems; you should start with a fresh filter and fluid. Any time you want to stress parts more, do so on clean fluids.

What problems did you end up having? I haven't heard of anyone directly relating xhp flashes to issues yet. I think it'll always be hard to say issues wouldn't have happened if you were stock.

Either way, I agree here that going straight to stage 3 is the move. I didn't even waste my money buying the pack with all of them.
