0-60 and 0-100 times
is 0-60mph in 4.8sec and 0-100mph in 11.5sec any good in a 6MT N54 with the following mods?
Dinan S2 N55 midpipe berk street drop in filter Hankook V12 255s in the rear. I was thinking it should be in the mid to low 4s considering the press reviews getting around 4.8sec stock with a DCT. I'm not using anything fancy to calculate time so there is some error. Here is the video im using to estimate the 0-60: Last edited by cbl117; 08-24-2014 at 02:34 AM.. |

IMHO 0-60 or 0-100 times should always be taken with a grain of salt. A significant portion of that time can be made up on the launch. Having a DCT will always give you a better launch.
Case in point, I had a 428 X-drive DTC loaner recently. The 0-60 time on it is 5.6 sec, a little quicker than my 128 MT. But, 4er felt soooooo much slower than my 1er, especially when try to pass another car at speed. |

As mr_bean said, 0-anything times are tough to control. Individual cars of the same model differ (this is due to manufacturing variation and is simply a fact of life). Test conditions (e.g. surface traction, ambient temperature, clutch condition, the brutality of the test-driver, gradient, etc.) also have a tremendous impact. Karl.
