Have you thought of switching brake pads ? it does make a differance. AXXIS make a very good low dust pad. EBC's green stuff is good to start but gets grimy as it wares.

less dust= easier to clean

You don't need to but you'll miss a few spots if you don't. I personally left mine on but was able to reach everything that's visible. It's not perfect but it was 98 F outside and I wasn't going to fight it.

The wheel wax makes a big difference - nearly all the dust simply rinses off with a hose.

Does the wax help with dog urine? Man I have such a serious problem with break dust and dogs...

And I can't always clean up afterwards
