I closed my trunk with the battery disconnected before too.

you actually dont even to get a jump, or fish for the emergency release.

Just a 12V battery charger attached under the hood will be enough juice to use the fob to unlock the trunk

Actually, white is a mixture of the 3 primary colors. Red, green, blue. So white is all colors combined.

I also think white is classy looking.

In science class, yes, but in reality, not really . Just a personal preference but to me, white looks like they forgot to paint the car at the factory. My first vehicle was white, drove it for 6 years. It was easy to keep clean at least.

It looks like you’re doing a great job, Matticus! Bright colors don’t necessarily work that well on a BMW anyway. I do think the green calipers will give it a little personality without being too in-your-face. I joke with my wife about wanting to wrap my whole car lime green but in reality, it will never happen. Showing up at a client office in a more under-the-radar color like Space Gray (or white) is preferable.

I know details are hard to make out in a picture but any critique is welcome!

Looks great so far! That quarter/roofline panel is annoying but it looks like you did a good job with it. Thats probably the harder of the panels besides the bumpers

Just looked over this again and it gets me more excited for mine to be wrapped. Ordering the vinyl on Friday so it should be going to my buddy next week. I get to drive his 'new' C5 Vette while he's wrapping my car. 'Merica

Thanks man it's been insanely tedious! The lime green is going on the calipers not the wheels haha. I don't have the balls for lime green wheels lol

Thanks! In the winter I will need to put a tennis ball on the shark fin (for lack of an actual antenna) like the old people do

Nice! I envy that your friend is doing it for you at cost. This project, while a seriously good learning opportunity, has been crazy.

For now, here's another update! The rear bumper is less than ideal, so i'll probably do that over again at some point. The rest of the panels look great and a friend is going to help with the front bumper.

I'll be doing the door handles but I'm going to leave the hood, roof, and mirrors black for a while to see how I like the look. I'm not sure about the strip on the trunk yet, figured I'd give it a shot. CF spoiler might make it look better once it's back on the car. Any thoughts/opinions on styling are welcome

Honestly looks very good from here. The small things are hard to notice in pictures from a distance. My previous car we wrapped twice and both times had their own imperfections.

Thank you man, from 5-10 feet the rear is ok. Front bumper is a total disaster though, apparently I did it completely wrong and it can be done in one piece lol. My buddy has done his 1M bumper several times so hopefully he can school me in the art.

Rear bumper isn't horrible but I'm not happy with it. Will leave it for now and see how much material is left at the end.

All the sides came out perfect though!

Yessir! I'm fortunate that I have a huge bay, storage, good lighting, and power. The garage is small too, only about 14 slots in total, so i know everyone that parks near me and they're all very cool about me working in there. Pretty often people coming through will stop and watch for a while haha
