I'd love to see a side by side comparison too...
But I've already made my decision. There is no other 1-series specific AE kit. I'm certain this newly developed LUX will win in the light distribution department. I've been tracking the camaross and LUX kits closely since their release for the 3 series, and I can say this with full confidence. |

Guys,
Just a little personal anecdote….I was out at mds82’s house about a month ago so that he could test fitment and performance on my one with his new version of the LUX angel bulbs for the 1 series and I was impressed to say the very least. I’m by no means a lighting snob or know much about them, but he did show me his “R&D” shop. I was surprised at all of the differences in each version of BMW. I especially didn’t realize that the 3 series coupe and sedan had different lighting housing. Needless to say, he knows his stuff and has placed a lot of time and effort in getting these right. He took a few pictures, but I’m not sure if they came out to his satisfaction…I’ll let him decide if he wants to post. I was there during the day and they were definitely noticeable and as bright, if not brighter, than stock. They didn’t throw any codes and the materials he is using are top notch. Not sure if that clears anything up. I’m definitely getting a pair when they become available! |
