are these the stock exhaust tips?

I just bought my '09 135i about a month ago, and noticed recently that the stock exhaust tips look a little bit extra dinky. maybe they are the e92 328i ones? or maybe I am completely out of my mind? Here are some pics. Tell me what you think.

Thanks again. Yes, I should get around to cleaning them lol. No soundclips yet. I could make one now and wake up all my neighbors lol. I'll try to make one tomorrow when I get some free time. Here I was thinking of ordering these tips to make the exhaust end look bigger http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-12...-e88-135i.aspx

Sorry, I don't have any close ups of the exhaust tips.

standard 135i exhaust on left, performance exhaust on right. Your exhaust doesn't look anything like these. Maybe crawl up under your car and see what the rest of the exhaust looks like or if you can find any build plates on the underside of the muffler. ?

OE left, PE right...

I'll be the odd one out here and I think I'm correct on this:

That is the regular exhaust (Left side of Dack's picture), but without the tips!!!
The tips actually just slide over that pipe you show on the OP.
I believe the tips are about $50.00 a piece.

Anybody conclude the same thing?

Yep it's stock exhaust. The tip covers probably just fell off at some point.

Hey, thanks for the helpful replies guys. When I get time I'll try to get pic of the exhaust from under the car.

I'd bet previous owner took them off and sold them before getting rid of it. Seen many a posts on here for people looking for tips only.

It's funny, I had this exact same question.

My exhaust has looked like that since the day I picked it up (bought it used). Had no idea it was just missing the tips. Time to go talk to the dealer, since I had polished the hell out of the "tips" on my exhaust to get them back to a normal state.

yeah, seriously! It just doesn't look right. I hope the previous owner can get me the tips. Not exactly looking forward to spending $100 for exhaust tips...

Or you can look at it as justification to get an aftermarket exhaust!!

Or I have these sitting around if you're interested.. They aren't beautiful by any means but they're better than nothing lol. And i'm sure they could be cleaned up nicely.

Exactly what I thought. You can see the marks on the tips where the black tips were being held in place.

Well, I took my tips off, and think it looks better without. It is stainless steel, and can be sanded or shined.
